The Sweater Coat Phenom

Wednesday, January 7, 2015

Happy Wednesday loves! First off, I want to thank you for your sweet and supportive comments on my last post here, where I reflected on the magical moments of 2014! I never want to come across as having a perfect life in any shape or form. I have had some major trials and it's by the grace of God that I'm still positive and excited for the new year!

I'm kicking off my first style post of 2015 with a cozy cardigan that is thick enough to be worn as a coat! Last week we experienced an unusually fall like day in the dead winter, so I decided to style this fun sweater coat over a plaid button down shirt, some dark skinny jeans, riding boots. This look was simple and relaxed yet I looked put together, which is usually my goal during the cold winter months.

2014 in Review: Magical Moments!

Monday, January 5, 2015

Happy Monday and Happy New Year loves! I hope you all rang in the New Year right! To see some of our adventures, be sure to follow me on Instagram! I really want to incorporate more lifestyle posts on the blog this year, so to kick that off,  I wanted to share some fun and amazing moments of  my life in 2014 here with all of you! Enjoy!

My sister and Maid of Honor threw me a fashion week themed bridal shower...

After eight years of dating, I married my college sweetheart on the most beautiful day, in the most beautiful way, in front of family and friends.

We honeymooned in Rivera Maya, Mexico in a beautiful resort by the ocean and had the TIME OF OUR LIVES...

I threw a birthday dinner for my husband's 30th birthday at one of his favorite restaurants!

We vacationed in Los Angeles for a week...

My hubby threw me a surprise birthday party for my 30th birthday!

Hubby and I threw our first annual ugly Christmas sweater potluck game night together!

We also sent out our first family Christmas Cards to our close friends and family!

See, this is why I love taking pictures so much! You can relive memories again and again and reflect on what you've been through. Just writing this post put such a huge goofy smile on my face reliving all the remarkable and happy moments. These photos and moments are not in anyway meant to portray that my life is perfect. We have had some bumps in the road and some trials that have left us sad and discouraged but God has sustained us and provided us like only He can. I would like to be more open and vulnerable here on the blog this year. In a world where everyone is striving to portray perfect lives, perfect marriages, families, home and professional lives, it can be daunting to see and it's unrealistic to keep up. I blog about real style and I'm going to begin blogging about real life as well.  With that said, God has truly blessed me this year, both on and off the blog! Cheers to 2015 and it being our best year yet!

Come join in on all the fun!

Happy New Year!

Thursday, January 1, 2015

This year has flown right by! I've been so richly blessed in 2014! As this new year begins, I'm so thankful for God, my handsome and loving husband, family, and close friends! God saw my Hubby and I through so much last year, and I'm excited just thinking of what He has in store for us in 2015.
 ~Happy New Year!~
