Happy Friday Loves! Today's look showcases what I wore to our rehearsal dinner for our wedding four weeks ago! I can't believe how quickly time has flown by since then! This tulle skirt was sent to me from a lovely online store called The Girl That Loves!! If you're like me, you've noticed the sudden popularity of these skirts so I was so excited to receive such a beautiful and well made one! Once I received it, I knew I would wear it at our rehearsal dinner, I received so many compliments, this skirt is a dream!
This custom necklace was sent to me by my friends at Onecklace and I love it! It features my new initials as a married lady! ;) It's such a dainty piece and conversation starter and I've received so many compliments. Hi Loves! Inspiration for today's look came to me sporadically while I was organizing my clothes in our closet in the new house! I'd been waiting to style this cobalt peplum body con skirt with the perfect complimentary blouse and it hit me that this vintage boxy aztec print blouse was the one!!! I chose to wear my mini pashli bag to highlight the yellow pops from the blouse and my fun silver flats to finish the look! Body-concious skirts aren't usually my go to, but this one was so flattering and accentuated the areas that I needed it to while camouflaging the rest lol!

Hi Loves!! How was your weekend? Mine flew right by as usual! The hubby and I spent our weekend shopping for home decor for our new home! It’s such a calming feeling to be back in the swing of things and begin settling in and decorating our house together after all of the excitement that was our wedding and honeymoon. In today’s look, I style the neon green midi skirt I wore here for my Bridal Shower. This time I styled it with my windowpane blouse and fun silver shoes. This skirt will always be the focal point of any look it’s styled in and the color is so luminous!

Every single item was needed while lounging on a cabana bed with my hubby or walking along the beach and yes that certainly includes a frozen fruity alcoholic drink and a bright lipstick! Hi Loves, as you all know, I've been MIA due to getting married! (Yayyy, I'm Mrs. Brown now!) and we immediately left for our honeymoon in Riviera Maya, Mexico! I took a Wedding leave of absence to settle into our new home and just relax. But I'm baaaackkkk and ready to go with some new material and fun surprises for you! We stayed at a gorgeous resort on Maroma Beach in Riviera Maya, Mexico, we immediately fell in love with the islands, we were at the beach everyday, my husband had several surprises for me through our week long stay there which I may share here later. I highly recommend a vacation to RM, Mexico with your significant other, friends or family. From the extremely sweet locals to the beautiful beaches and culture, Riviera Maya has some fabulousness to offer!

A year ago, you couldn't have paid me to wear a bikini here on the blog lol. But so much has changed in my life and I'm more confident in the skin I'm in, plus I can't preach about self confidence and not live up to it! I am having a love affair with high waisted bikinis this summer because they are flattering on most body types, and the retro feel of it just speaks to my personal style. Do you own any high waisted bikinis or would you rock one at the beach or poolside?

This look is from my Forever 21 Plus Size Lookbook on my YouTube channel. I noticed the scuba trend has been quite popular for awhile, which is why I selected this dress from Forever 21. Basically, it is a trend inspired by scuba diving beachwear that feature sporty silhouettes. I do not expose my knees or wear short dresses often because honestly I am not crazy about my legs. I view my legs as one of the least desirable parts of my body, but I always try to find ways to make different styles work for me. It is so important to step outside of your fashion comfort zone sometimes because that is the only way that you will be able to grow. Fashion has no boundaries and it is all about feeling good and having fun anyway, right?
