Happy Friday Loves!
I hope you've all had a wonderful week! My week has been hectic between grad school classes and teaching! I'm proud of myself for posting twice in one week!! Major props to the girls who do this everyday lol. (So, I cheated a little...this is not the outfit I wore today, it's an older look that I never posted! *hint* my hair has no auburn color in the front haha!) Anyway I've been into stripes and prints alot lately and I felt this vibrant purple blue vintage blazer really added an edge and a much needed pop of color to this long striped body-con skirt. There was a little too much black and white for me, you'll see that I rarely wear black!!

Wayferers, vintage necklace and of course an
  "arm party" :P

What trends have you been rocking lately? I'd love to hear from you! Thank you so much for reading my posts and continuing to follow me.

Spring In January!

Happy New Year Loves!!
I can't believe I haven't updated you all in a month! I missed you all and I hope you all had a wonderful time celebrating the holidays. I plan to post and update more often and expand my blog to its full potential this year! So, after a ton of rainy dreary days where I live, we finally got some sun! Who's excited about 47 degree weather in January? This girl. I got so excited about the weather that I decided to wear this outfit that I've been dreaming about lately. So what if it's not Spring yet? I'm going to rock my vintage neon flowered maxi skirt, steve madden "cowgirl" boots, my fave jean jacket, and tons of bright accessories. Bright colors make the gloomiest day better in my opinion. I got color in my hair in December and i've been loving it! So glad my hair decided to behave itself today lol. Enjoy the pics! :)

Have a great week loves!

Happy Monday Loves!!

I hope you've had a great weekend and are blessed! Soooo instead of working on this paper for class (due Wednesday), i've decided to blog because I've missed you guys so much! Lol! Once I'm done, I'll be back on my paper-Pinky Promise!!
So I'm not going to lie to you, these outfit pics are almost a month old, before my birthday (there's a post for that coming) and Thanksgiving! I wore this to church with the boyfriend and sis. And my sis was gracious enough to snap a few pics of me afterwards. :)

Let's get into the outfit: As the title of this post suggests, I feel like I could have easily jumped on a horse and rode off into the sunset in this outfit! :p I am wearing two of my favorite colors for fall; chocolate and teal :) I have on a vintage tweed blazer, white tank, navy navy jeggings, a vintage crocodile skin bag, gold accessories, and my well-worn in chocolate boots.

My boots were a gift from my mom almost 3 years ago and I'm probably going to wear them into the ground, because they're so comfy! lol! Anyway, this is an example of items I've been living in and loving lately. Blazers, jeans, boots, gorgeous accessories, and you can't go wrong! I can still be chic and comfortable, yet ready for anything from church to dinner with friends or a date night! What trends have you found yourself gravitating towards this season?

Stay Fab and warm lovelies!

FALL 2011 Essential Pieces!!

Saturday, November 5, 2011

Happy Saturday Loves!
So sorry for my gap in posting! With school, work, and life becoming so hectic lately, I haven't had time to update my blog! But I'm back!

Today I want to talk about some trends I've been loving and lusting after, now that it's fall and will soon be winter to stay warm yet fashionable. No girl can go wrong with some leopard print accents (or animal print of your choice), gorgeous jewelry, sweaters, and awesome pair of riding boots this season!

LEOPARD PRINT

I love leopard print and Ill probably always incorporate leopard into wardrobe for years to come. This trend has always been fashionable and if worn correctly (no more than 2 pieces at a time ladies!), it can be the defining piece in your outfit that sets you apart! Leopard scarves, jewelry, shoes, and tops can
really take a simple outfit to the next level.
Me! :)

STATEMENT JEWELRY

Another essential piece you can add to any simple outfit is chunky jewelry. I've been really enjoying stacking chunky bracelets with bangles and rope bracelets in addtion to chunky vintage inspired earrings.

^^I'm getting one of these made ;)

i Die for that bowl of chunky gold and pearl jewelry!

RIDING BOOTS

Another trend that I hope NEVER goes away, are riding boots. Boots are essential to any fashionista's fall wardrobe but there's something so classic yet chic about wearing riding boots with a pair of tights or skinny jeans. A nice pair of riding boots really polishes even the most basic outfit.

i need all of these! ;)

i have these, and they are super comfy!

tweed & leather = perfection

SWEATERS

Last, but not least, the one thing i love about winter is getting to wear super soft chunky sweaters. Whether they're in solid prints, patterns, fitted or relaxed, a sweater is a great way to look put together and chic without much effort. They can be worn with jeans, khakis, trousers with boots and accessorized with tons of statement jewelry ;)

the chunkier and softer the better :)

i'll just steal some of my boyfriend's sweaters to achieve this look ;)

loving ALL of these!

i have a pink and cognac cardi similar c/o of my bestie

**Pictures are from Pinterest, (except for the one of me lol)

Keep in mind, that this is not an all inclusive list of all fall and winter essential pieces, but are the pieces I find myself gravitating to, along with scarves and blazers. Tweak this list to your liking and have fun being warm and on trend this fall and winter! Thanks so much for reading my (somewhat lengthy) post. :-D I hope you enjoy! And if you do, please feel free to comment and follow! :)

Happy Tuesday Loves!
I'm bringing you another nail of the day! My ombre nails chipped pretty badly, so I decided it was time for a new color. So I dug around in my box of polishes and found this Essie color.  This is the perfect creamy and violet blue. I would describe it as a royal blue with grey undertones. I'd forgotten how much I loved blue polishes until now.

What colors will you be wearing this fall? Thanks for reading this post and feel free to comment or FOLLOW :)
