Simple Statement...

Wednesday, September 5, 2012

Hi lovelies! I hope you each had an amazing Labor Day Weekend and relaxed and ate like a fat kid like I did! lol! I decided to take Monday off from everything including a new style post, since it was a holiday, but I'm back on schedule! In this look, I decided to keep it very simple and casual while letting this new beauty of a necklace do all the talking. How did I do? Stay tuned for a *sneak peek* of an idea I'm working on for Fall!
Style Guide: Statement necklaces can make any outfit pop, but next time, try wearing a minimal look with one, i promise it'll make the necklace stand out even more!
Today's Wednesday, so I'll be sharing my style with Rolled Up Pretty, The Pleated Poppyand Transatlantic Blonde! So head over to their blogs for some style inspiration and tell them I sent you!

Let's Go To The Park...

It's Friday lovies and I'm so excited for this extended weekend! On Sunday, my alma mater UK plays our rivals (who really suck!), UL in the first football game of our season! I can't wait to wear UK blue and white and cheer our boys on to a victory! I'm not a professional football fan, but I love me some college football!! Seeing everybody pull and cheer for their fave team gets me so pumped! (Ohhhh C-A-T-S!! CATS! CATS! CATS!) :o)
Today I'm sharing my style with Two Thirty-Five Designs for her Casual Friday Link Up!!
Style Guide: Try adding a brooch to your top, blouse, or blazer as an accessory when it's just too hot for a necklace to jazz up your outfit!

The Look: | Chambray top & Skirt: Old Navy | Bag: Vintage Etienne A. | Shoes: Target | Brooch: Vintage | Sunnies & Bangles: HM | Gorgeous Weather: GOD! | Mani: Revlon-Coastal Surf |

Cheetah Party!

Happy Humpday! It's almost the weekend and I cannot wait! My sis and I went to visit a local veggie garden because we want to start growing our own tomatoes and just look around. We had a lovely time! We also saw a dead squirrel  on the ground and began to run & scream like two crazy people! (50 shades of cray! lol) I have to keep this post super short as I have so many projects to complete in my grad classes this week! But I have some wonderful ideas in the works for this blog and I can't wait to share them with y'all! I will be giving some *sneak peeks* in the following weeks! Hope you enjoy this look! :)
Style Guide: When wearing a simple outfit, adding a scarf and statement necklace brings something special to the overall look. Plus if it's hot outside, you can throw the scarf in your bag and still have on a vibrant accessory!
The Look: | Vest: Old Navy | Tank: H&M | Skirt: F21 (last fall but i need this one!) | Bag: Vintage Dooney & Bourke | Scarf: gifted, but dying over this one! | Sandals: Old/unknown | Sunnies: my Boyfriends |

Monday [INSTA]spiration!!

Monday, August 27, 2012

Happy Monday! I hope you all had wonderful weekends :) Today's look was inspired from a picture I saw a few weeks ago on Instagram. As soon as I saw it, ideas started forming in my head with ways I could create a similar look with pieces in my wardrobe! One of the main things I love about fashion is shopping my own closet and challenging myself to come up with new outfits without buying a thing. Do you do that too?
What I Wore: | Chambray: Vintage | Tank: F21 | Belt: The Limited | Pants & Flats: Target | Clutch: Vintage | Necklace: R21 |

It's Friday Loves! I just wanted to drop by and show you a new way I've found to wear my scarves when it's hot outside, while adding a pop of color to my looks! Y'all know I love adding some color lol, Enjoy!
Style Guide: Cinch a belt around your waist over a large colorful scarf to add interest to an old maxi dress!
If you try this look and post it on your blog, please link back to me, i'd love to check it out (plus it's just nice lol)

Style Mash-Up: Part Deux!!

Wednesday, August 22, 2012

Hi loves! It's Wednesday and I am back with another post! This is another example of what I love to call a "Style Mash-Up"!  I define it as a look that embodies many facets of my personality while still making sense to me, even if it doesn't to anyone else lol! I mean, neutrals, florals, leopard, pattern mixing, layering, all in one look? oh my! But I love it! You saw my first Style Mash-Up look here. Hope you enjoy this look too! :)
Style Guide: Adding a vest with a neutral color tone will help "neutralize" or give balance to a look with a lot going on.

Forbidden Fruit!!

Monday, August 20, 2012

It's Monday Loves! How were your weekends? Mine was lovely! I enjoyed having 48 hours of no school worries lol. I spent time with my J's family at their cookout Saturday and yesterday at church! We had a great time eating and laughing! You've seen this skirt in one of my first outfit posts EVER here! This skirt is one of my favorite vintage finds! I mean, look at the vibrancy of the floral and fruit print, I would wear this once a week if I could!
Style Guide: When wearing a skirt with large vibrant print, a chambray top and chunkier belt helps balance the look out while not taking away from it.
