Hi Loves! This was meant to be a usual Friday post, but such is life and today was crazy! Thank you all for SO much love and support on my blog! I got such an amazing response on my last post and I'm so happy you ladies loved it! I will be working on a post to show you how I tie my turban for those of you who asked me how. :)
Today (yesterday's) look was super casual and everyone kept me asking me if I was going golfing lol...hence the title of this post! I have no idea how to golf, putt putt maybe? I'm wearing shorts for the 2nd time on my blog! (be proud of me!)

Underneath The Purple Rain!!

Wednesday, July 11, 2012

It's Humpday once again loves! I'm bringing you a new post of course! I've been seeing so many stylish ladies rocking scarves and turbans online, Instagram, Pinterest, blogs, etc, so I decided to try it out with this "hippie" look I had going on, wearing this skirt you've seen before here, and I loved it! I may never be able to recreate the scarf to make it look the same way again, as it was an awesome mistake lol. But I will be wearing more scarves as turbans for bad hair days, lazy days, and when I want to look eclectic! So be on the look-out for more posts with this fabulous accessory!

Have you tried to wear a scarf as a turban to add some pizzazz to your recent styles? Please post links if you are a blogger, I'd love to see or hear how you styled it! :)

Style Guide: Try adding a longer necklace as an accessory when wearing a turban/scarf on your head to break the look down a bit and give it some balance!

As usual, I'm linking up with The Pleated Poppy & Rolled Up Pretty on their awesome blogs with other bloggers. Go check out the other looks and get inspired!

Turquoise & Cobalt!

Happy Monday Loves! I hope you all had wonderful weekends! I have been loving blues in all hues lately! This blouse and necklace go so well together and the necklace was totally a last minute add on! I threw on my newly purchased vintage bag and colorful sandals to finish the look!

PS. I did not realize so much of my tummy was peeking out lol! Oh well, it was absolutely hot as hell outside!

Style Guide: Try adding a statement necklace in the same color family as your blouse to really make overall the look POP!

Tangerine & Paisley!!!

Friday, July 6, 2012

It's Friday loves! Did anyone else feel like yesterday was a Monday?! lol! We had a great time celebrating the 4th and maybe had a little too much fun, because I felt like a zombie yesterday! TGIF is all i can say right about now! Thanks so much for the sweet comments and warm reception to my new series What To Wear! Don't forget you can email me or submit comments in any post suggesting what item of clothing, event, etc, that you'd love to see styled in future posts! Can't wait to hear all your ideas, since I have such stylish lovely readers ;)

This look started off with a vest, but it was just too darn hot! I'm talking heat index of 105...Sweat beads  were forming on my head as the pics were taken lol. Anyway, you've seen this skirt before here and it really is one of my faves! I'm no mini skirt girl, but my midi and maxi skirts have to retire during this heat wave lol. So I figured this would be cute and allow me to be cool. I paired my tangerine tank (that shows up neon on camera) with it and a skinny nude belt, sandals, and a suede clutch to pull the look together.

Style Guide: Avoid wearing a necklace if your top or tank already has embroidery or a floral attachment at the neckline like the one I have on. Let the built in accessory on the top be the focal point.

What To Wear: Red, White, and Blue!!

Wednesday, July 4, 2012

Happy 4th of July Loves!! I'm back from my vacation and I feel refreshed, a little more tan, and mucho bug bites lol! What better day than today to introduce my "What To Wear" Series on the blog right? This series will be more of a style guide or directory of suggested looks for certain events, holidays, etc. So to start off I will be showing you an outfit I would wear for a 4th of July cookout with friends or even to go shopping! I wore a polka dot linen shirt which is lightweight and cool & perfect for a hot summer day, comfy cuffed denim shorts, paired with a small cross body bag and red flats and I was ready to go! I just realized this is my first post wearing shorts! WhoooHoooo!! another fear conquered! lol (Fist pump!!) There is something so classic about styling the colors red, white, and blue!

PS. I've been featured over on a lovely blog! Please head over to Black Fashion Bloggers and check it out! Thanks again Nika!

STYLE TIP: If you're in an extremely HOT state like me, try adding a linen item to your look. Whether it be a linen shirt, dress, or pants, it really has a cooling effect and you will look extremely put together!!

Watch Me Work!

Wednesday, June 27, 2012

It's Humpday Loves! So here's another quick post. The title has nothing to do with my outfit like it usually does. Today's title is actually dedicated to my new "theme" song by Melanie Fiona, "Watch Me Work". For the past few days I've been in overdrive doing tons of school work early so I can relax at the beach this weekend and I had this song on repeat to get me through it. It motivated me every time I got down or frustrated and I would get right back to work lol! Do you have a song that just takes you to the next level and boosts your confidence? I'd love to hear what they are :) Enjoy the pics!

Style Tip: When you don't want to style your hair or it's wet like mine was, throw on a hat! lol
