My hubby and I attended some fun homecoming activities at our alma mater, University of Kentucky this weekend and are in recovery mode haha! After seeing these ladies here & here, I was so inspired, I had to recreate the classic black midi skirt and chambray shirt look with my own special twist! I added an extra punch to the look with my vintage coach bag and leopard loafers. 

Did I mention 70% of this look is vintage/thrifted?

I've always loved pearl necklaces and I was so thrilled to receive this stunner from Laguna Pearl. It's amazing quality and versatile enough for a dressy or casual look!

Retro Striped Skirt

Happy Monday Loves! I had an amazing weekend in Atlanta with my sister and best friend! I went with my sister to support her in speaking at a church youth conference. She did such an amazing job and I'm just honored I got to be a witness in how God used her to speak to those teens. We spent the rest of the weekend exploring the city with my bff and I'm still recuperating as I type these words. ;)

Today's look is featuring this amazing black and white striped skirt I received from Eshakti. They make great quality, retro-inspired, and best of all, customizable pieces!! I was able to select not only the size I wanted, but the length of the skirt and I also added pockets. I can already envision several ways I will wear this skirt for Fall and Winter, so stay tuned! ;)

Lime Time!

I don't know what's happened, but lately i've been LOVING the color lime green. It goes surprisingly well with a lot of items in my closet and there is something so fresh yet springy about this color. I decided to let my lime green pencil skirt do the talking in this look and by toning the rest of the look down with camel sandals, a leopard print skinny belt, and my fave taupe bag. What do you think?
