Style Repeat: Chartreuse + Salmon

Wednesday, November 26, 2014

Hi loves! My husband, my sister, doggy and I are hitting the road today to head down south to spend Thanksgiving with my family. This time last year, I was watching what I ate so I could be snatched to the Gods in my wedding dress. But this year honey, I'm going to eat my mama's cooking to my heart's desire. And I hope you'll be stuffing your faces with your loved ones too!

I decided to share another one of my favorite looks I posted last year on the blog. There's something about a fitted blazer over a vintage pussy-bow blouse that is just perfect to me. I plan to restyle this look soon...

Flower Power!

Monday, August 18, 2014

Hey Loves! One of you mentioned that yellow was my "power color" a few posts ago. Though I'm not exactly sure what a power color is, I find myself gravitating towards yellow, so maybe there is some truth to the concept. Every single time I wear the color yellow, I feel happier, more confident, and beautiful. So it goes without saying that I fell in love with these Joe Fresh floral shorts! Do you have a color that never fails to make you feel confident and beautiful?? If so, please share it in the comments below, i'd love to hear!

Style Tip: When styling printed or floral bottoms, select one color from the palette to wear on top and wear neutrals, such as nudes, leopard, or even gold, as I wore in my look!

Retro Layers...

Friday, December 6, 2013

I just LOVE this monogram necklace I received from Onecklace! I've been wanting a monogrammed necklace reminiscent of the one Carrie had on Sex and The City forever, and I finally have one! The necklace is made really well and the shipping was so fast. I can't wait to get a second one when my last name changes ;) They have some fabulous pieces, so check them out for yourself!

Hi loves! So I love seeing fashionistas and fellow bloggers layer beautiful sweaters and button downs and I kind of wanted to dabble in this trend. So I did!, and well, what can i say, but forgive the lumpy under sweatshirt thing happening all over this look. I have not yet mastered how to make this look smooth and  polished. For you layering experts, can you give me some tips on how to layer seamlessly and not have rolls and lumps underneath? lol! All tips are welcome! ;)  Have an amazing weekend!

Chartreuse + Salmon

Wednesday, November 13, 2013

Hi Loves! I decided to style this (new to me) vintage Chartreuse blazer and vintage salmon blouse with my new skinny jeans and lace up booties for a fun vintage inspired look. This look is easily wearable and could be styled various ways, with a different colored blazer and blouse or even with a cardigan and boots for a more relaxed look. Well it's freezing here in KY! I'm about to hop in the shower and head to work!
