Winter Floral

Wednesday, January 16, 2013

Hi Loves! We've had some really nasty cold weather here in KY lately, so these shots are actually from last week. Thank God I was proactive when the weather was warm! I hope you're all staying warm and dry wherever you are. Enjoy the pics!

I'm so excited for Spring, that I'm already rockin florals and pastels! I added a little pop of mustard from my bag with this amazing floral blazer and voila! J kinda hates this blazer and called them "Granny Curtains", but what does he know? Hahaha! What do you ladies think of this blazer and wearing floral prints during winter?
STYLE GUIDE: When wearing a printed blazer, or one with multiple colors, try wearing a bag that pulls out one color as the focal point to complement the entire look and make it cohesive!

Buffalo Soldier...

Monday, January 14, 2013

Hi Loves! How was your weekend? Mine was wonderful! J and I had date night on Friday (he STILL asks me out on dates like he did when we first met and I love it!) and on Saturday, we went and checked out two potential wedding venues and absolutely fell in love with one of them! We have two more places on our list and then it's decision time! Yesterday, my sis and I went to the KY Bride Bridal show and it was such a fun and classy event. We had skinny girl martinis, tasted delicious food, and got to meet a bunch of great leads for prospective photographers, caterers, and florists!
So I decided to step out of the box and wear what I consider a pretty bad a$$ look! This buffalo plaid shirt was a Christmas gift from my sis from the Target's men's section! Can you believe it? I absolutely love the fit and quality of this shirt. It's so soft and cozy and long enough to cover my butt. I added some sweater lined leggings and combat boots to give the look even more of an edge. Something about wearing vintage sunnies and a dark vampy lipstick had me actin like a different edgier person! Am I crazy? Does that ever happen to you? Do certain outfits bring out different aspects of your personality?

Friday [INSTA]spiration!!

Friday, September 21, 2012

Hi Loves!! Hope y'all have had great weeks! As a blogger, sometimes I find myself staring at a closet FULL of clothes with no idea what to wear or completely uninspired. The old me, would use that as a reason to go shop for new pieces. But the new me, seems to find inspiration everywhere now! From social networks, to stylish ladies I see on the street/TV, to my fellow style bloggers! This look was actually inspired by a pic I saw on Instagram. As soon as I saw it, I jumped up and ran into my closet because I knew I had the essentials to pull it off and I just love how it turned out!
Style Guide: Try using your accessories to make the look cohesive when mixing prints!
