Hi Loves! I've missed you all! I hope you all had an amazing extended weekend! I sure did and I'm kinda sad to be back lol. My sister, boyfriend, and I went home to see my baby sis graduate high school and celebrate with her. We had so much fun! I showed J around Memphis/MS and we went shopping and ate at the cutest restaurants. We went to Beale St. and walked around and strolled down by the river. It was so peaceful and I really enjoyed seeing things I took for granted, through the eyes of my boyfriend who saw it all for the first time! Below are some pics of my sis' graduation. She was so beautiful and poised, the waterworks appeared several times that day. We are all so proud of her and I can't wait to see what God has in store for her next <3 I am so excited to post more now that things are slowing down for the summer!

Hot Pink Panther!!

Monday, May 21, 2012

Happy Monday again Loves!! My weekend was super relaxing and so much fun! Friday, we celebrated J's granny's 90th birthday, she's a lovely woman and I enjoyed spending time with him and his family. Saturday was so simple (and just what we needed), we just spent the weekend together and hung out, watching movies and spending quality time together. It was much needed and I felt so refreshed and ready to attack the week!

Anywho, this outfit was from last week! This neon pink number is vintage and I LOVE it! I wish there was a way to let you feel and see the quality of this blouse, it is absolutely amazing :) I really wanted the blouse to be the focal point of the outfit, so I kept it simple and wore my Gap skinnies and fave leopard loafers (they will be called "panther" for the title's purposes lol) to finish the look. I love finding great quality items at vintage stores, I promise you the room stopped when I found this blouse lol! Enjoy the pics!

PS I'm FINALLY becoming more comfortable with wearing my hair out and it's so freeing!

Polished Style:: Lilacism

Saturday, May 19, 2012

Happy Saturday Loves!! Hope you're all enjoying and relaxing on this beautiful day!! I wanted to bring you another post of a polish I've been wearing to death and loving! This color is Essie Lilacism and though it's showing up as a muted grey on camera, it is actually a pale lilac color and after two thick coats and topcoat the payoff was great! Some of the pics aren't capturing the glossy creamy finish and it's showing up matte but trust me it is not! lol Enjoy the pics!

I'm still on the hunt for Essie's newest neon polishes! CVS and Walgreens have failed me twice lol.
PS. A dupe for this lovely polish is Revlon Cloud, another one of my go-to pastels. Enjoy your weekend loves!

Pinky Prints And A Pop of Yellow!!

Wednesday, May 16, 2012

Happy Hump Day Loves!! I figure if I say it's happy it will be, right? lol I hope you all are having a great day. Mine hasn't been that great. In case you didn't know, I am taking summer classes for my master's program for elementary education and after reading the syllabus for my Reading and Language Acquisition class with all the assignments, projects, and papers, expected of me, it's starting to feel less and less like Summer. (*screams internally* then repeats the mantra, "you can do it Chioma" over and over)

Anywho, I decided to wear this outfit because we really have been blessed with great weather lately!!. I paired this blush pink chiffon blouse with tiny white dots from the Jason Wu for Target line (Got it on sale for $8!!) with one of my favorite floral skirts from H&M last summer. I love how the dots are almost invisible and the blush pink brings out the salmon pink of the skirt, I added a pastel yellow clutch and my cognac sandals and was on my way! Enjoy the pics loves!

P.S. ladies, i'm linking up with Simply Sarah for her pink challenge! Pink is one of my favorite colors, so I'm excited to be able to participate in this challenge :)

Please pray for me loves! The first week of a new class always seems so daunting and bleak, but I'm hoping and praying that I will learn and succeed in this class with all the Summer distractions of swimming, shopping, road trips, and pleasure reading! :P Have an amazing day and thanks for all of your comments, they keep me motivated! :)

Polished Style: Check Me Out

Monday, May 14, 2012

Hi Loves!! I hope you all had a great Monday!! So I'm starting a new series on the blog called "Polished Style", where I'll be show casing my favorite nail polishes!! I have a massive collection of nail polishes and I paint my nails several times a week to match my mood, so I figured I would share them with you, whenever I think the color and quality are amazing!! The color on my nails for this post is L'oreal's-Check Me Out. It's a creamy girly bright pink and this color pay off is after three thin coats with my fave top coat. L'oreal's new line of colors have been really eye catching and I'm glad the quality matches the color!!

What nail polishes are you loving at the moment? If you have any suggestions of polishes or colors you'd love to see on this blog, please comment below and I'd love to try them out and feature them in a post (and it would give me an excuse to buy more polishes ;))

Grape Stripes...

It's Monday again Loves! I hope you had an amazing weekend! This outfit post is a little overdue, it was actually taken while at home in MS for mother's graduation last weekend. The temperature was almost a 100!! In hindsight, a full length maxi was not my brightest idea lol. But I made it work (because I just loved the grape purple color and its pleated!!) and sprayed tons of sunblock and drank lots of water! :D Can you tell how just much I'm loving maxi skirts, stripes, and pops of color lately? lol! Enjoy the pics!

As you know, yesterday as Mother's Day. I did not get to spend the day with my mom because I live far away, but I'm glad I got to celebrate her getting her MSW last weekend. She is so important to me, I love her so much and I'm so proud of her! :) In two weeks, I will be home again to celebrate the baby sis' high school graduation! I hope all of my readers who are Mothers had a very wonderful day!!

Red Pops!!

Thursday, May 10, 2012

Hey Loves! Can you believe the week's almost over?? I for one am excited about it! This week has been my finals week and I've been slammed with papers, projects, and I wrote my first IEP! (all my teacher/aspiring teacher readers can relate lol) I hope your week has been more chill than mine :) On to the outfit...if you asked me to wear stripes and florals together this time last year, I would have laughed at you and made a face. But one year later, I can say I am mixing prints and enjoying the ride! Goes to show how much  my personal style has evolved in a short amount of time :) This recently thrifted floral midi skirt is quickly becoming one of my faves! I decided to highlight the red flowers in the fabric by wearing my red peep toe flats and vintage red earrings. The stripes added some character to the look and i threw on my vintage cross body bag to finish it! What do you ladies think??

As some of you may know, this week is Teacher's Appreciation Week (so call, send a card, hug, or give an apple to your fave teacher!) so I am excited to participate in the "Teachers Have Class and Style Link Up" over on Mix and Match Fashion, head over to check out all the stylish teachers!!
