From Summer to Fall with DSW Booties!

Wednesday, September 30, 2015

This post was sponsored by DSW.

Due to the cooler temps, I've begun the age-old tradition of transitioning some of my go-to summer pieces into wearable items for fall. While the days remain warm where I live, the evenings are becoming increasingly crisp outside. Fall is my favorite season, so I'm giddy with excitement to start unpacking my bulky sweaters, scarves, and, most of all, BOOTS!

I can never get enough of boots in the fall. From ankle boots to riding boots, I love styling them with colored jeans, dresses, and so much more! My husband complains about all the space my boots take up in our closet, but he doesn't realize how much I need every pair! LOL! I'm loving these Aldo Gytha Chelsea boots from DSW. The heel is a little higher than what I normally gravitate toward, but the rich navy color is perfect for fall!

I'm already eyeing these 5 pairs below. ;) (Hint, hint, Hubbymy birthday is right around the corner!)
So if you're looking for a pair of boots that is simple yet versatile, the and the BC Footwear Forget  Me Not Bootie and the Splendid Rodeo Bootie will be perfect for you. A dressier alternative to these suede boots would be these leather options: Diba Beth Bootie and the Crown Vintage Lion Bootie. My favorite of the five, that is a mix of simple yet dressy would have to be the Crown Vintage Lasso Western bootie!
Booties!

Have you been to DSW to check out their massive selection of boots yet?

At DSW, we believe that shoes have the power to bring out something great in everyone. So no matter who you are or how you dress, we've got just what you need. Shoes say a lot about you. Spend a little. Say a lot.

Fall Plaid with Target Style: Play By the Rules or Break the Rules!

Sunday, September 27, 2015

This post was sponsored by Target.

Now that it's officially Fall, you'll be seeing me in plaid like it's nobody's business. I just love using plaid printed items as statement pieces to really jazz up a simple outfit.  So imagine my excitement when I heard how plaid is taking over Target today! From stylish home goods to must-have fashion items, Target has partnered with Adam Lippes to bring you over 350 items!

Plaid has such a rich style history. It is an iconic pattern that is still meaningful in fashion today. I am so excited to share two looks with you that are inspired by plaid.
My first look is a little more preppy and classic. I chose to style this plaid button-down shirt with a cognac leather pencil skirt and blue heeled ankle booties.
[ :: Plaid shirt (Similar) :: Leather skirt (oxblood, similar) :: Ankle booties (similar) :: Leopard clutch (similar) :: Fossil watch (similar) :: Gold earrings (similar) :: lipstick (similar) :: ]

My second look is loosely inspired by punk fashion. I wore an olive plaid duster over a black T-shirt and belted it with a camel skinny belt to complement my camel oxford heels.

Both of these looks are comfortable and make me feel confident.

Which of these two looks is your favorite? I want to know what your plaid style is! Share your plaid story and tag me @ChiomasEOS on twitter and @Csevolutionofstyle on instagram and use the #targetstyle hashtag to share!

To shop these looks and more amazing plaid pieces, head to Target! The Adam Lippes for Target Collection, which will be chock full of AMAZING plaid pieces, launches today, so be sure to check that out as well! I’ll definitely be headed there this week!

Pamper Yourself with Caress Daily Silk

Wednesday, September 23, 2015

This post was sponsored by Unilever.

My mother always taught me that a lady takes a bath/shower twice a day to maintain clean skin and pamper herself. I've never forgotten that advice even now as a grown woman. I like to take luxuriously long hot and steamy showers at the end of the day to truly pamper my skin. I wash or exfoliate my face in the shower, and I squeeze Caress® Daily Silk™ body wash onto my loofah, or I use the Caress® Daily Silk™ bar of soap. I love using both because they have a fragrance that is absolutely divine and makes my skin feel silky soft!

Now I'm aware that you can't take a long bath everyday, but that's the amazing thing about Caress® Daily Silk™ body wash: you can still achieve that unapologetically feminine feeling from the rich lather and alluring fragrance. Inhaling the sweet fragrance of white peach and orange blossom relaxed and rejuvenated me like I was in my own personal spa. After showering with this body wash, my skin felt like silk, and the fragrance made me feel fabulous throughout the day.

Treat yourself to the alluring fragrance of Caress® Daily Silk™ every day and feel truly irresistible.

Autumn Vibes

Tuesday, September 22, 2015

Happy Tuesday loves! How were your weekends? Do any of you travel for work? As most of you know, I work for my alma mater, UK, and there are 3 months of concentrated travel to my assigned territory where I'm away from my husband and our puppy. There are some fun aspects and of course some challenging ones. If any of you do travel for work, I'd love to learn some travel tips and survival tips that have worked for you.

The Wear: Due to the cooler temps, I've snuck out some of fall essentials like this plaid blanket scarf and my blue ankle booties. I accentuated the orange hues in my scarf with my clutch.

Where to Wear: shopping, lunch date, movies, coffee.

Jane Carter Solution Revitalizing Leave in Conditioner Review

Friday, September 18, 2015

Jane Carter Revitalizing Leave-in Conditioner
As a natural girl, I gravitate towards things that promise moisture retention in my hair. So when I received my Target Beauty Box, I was so excited to see that the Jane Carter Revitalizing Leave-in Conditioner was included in this month’s selections. The Target Beauty Box is a fun box of health and beauty products that anyone can purchase at Target for just $5!
When I got my hands on the Jane Carter Leave-in Conditioner, I was pleasantly surprised because it was a full size bottle and not a sample or travel size. So I know this product will last me well into winter and maybe even spring.

I immediately removed the plastic and top to smell the product and I was delighted to smell a clean fruity scent. The conditioner sprays evenly out in a mist and coats the hair. This is perfect when refreshing twists, protective styles, or curls. I really liked that this product is made of organic ingredients and is targeted at natural African American hair. It not only adds moisture but it provided a light sheen to my hair.

My hair felt cool and refreshed and moist after several uses. I even tried it on a very hot day and my hair and scalp thanked me! I love incorporating new items into my daily beauty regimen and I’m excited to  say that this product is here to stay.

WHAT WAS YOUR FAVORITE PRODUCT FROM THIS MONTH'S TARGET BEAUTY BOX??

Floral Paradise

Wednesday, September 16, 2015

Hi loves! We're halfway through the week!! :) The dress I'm wearing in today's look is so special to me because it's one of the pieces that I wore on my honeymoon with my husband! I've worn this dress a couple times since and I always smile and think about it.

The Wear: I styled this floral mini dress with my favorite block heeled sandals and a camel tote bag and it complemented it beautifully. I decided to wear a simple monogrammed necklace to not draw attention away from this vibrant dress.

Where to Wear: out on a date, to a day party, or out for cocktails.

Neon Maxi Dress

Monday, September 14, 2015

Hi Loves! I hope you all had lovely weekends! I got to bond with my sisters at church Saturday morning and then relax in bed with my husband watching cheesy movies on Netflix, and it really rejuvenated me for the crazy week of travel ahead.

The Wear: I was so drawn to this vividly neon green maxi dress. It's so flowy and feminine and the color is so bright, you may stop traffic! I styled this dress with simple gold accessories and tan shoes to allow the dress to be the main focal point (how could it not be?). I'm kind of sad that fall is basically here (even though it's my favorite season, because I'm going to have to retire this bright dress until next summer.

Where To Wear: day date with your significant other, lunch on a patio, walk on the beach.
