Happy Monday, loves! I hope each and every one of you had wonderful weekends and are ready
to kick off the week! Today’s post is about one of my favorite items to style and add to my wardrobe. JEANS!! I don’t know about you, but I’ve always had a bit of a struggle finding the perfect fitting jean and have mainly been loyal to a couple of brands. I mean, you know when you find THE jean that you love. It’s all about the fit, and when they hug your body in the right places and lift and flatter, it’s the best feeling. Some of the variables I look for in a fabulous pair of jeans are the wash, fit, and length.

As a tall and curvy woman, it can be kind of daunting finding the fit you are looking for that is flattering.  When I shop for jeans, whether online or in person, I immediately check the length and note if that would work for my height. I also find myself gravitating towards skinny, curvy, or straight styles.

I was delighted to partner with Target and try on a few of their jeans from their denim line for
the last week. I lived in these jeans to really experience each pair, (after work of course) and took a lot of pictures to be able to share my authentic opinion of them in regards to style, fit, and quality. Target’s new and improved denim line is made to fit all sizes and shapes for every woman. They’ve also had their design team completely change their jeans with improved fits and fabric.

I was sent a pair of Skinny, Boyfriend, and Straight jeans. The Skinny  jeans fit me the absolute best. They are mid-rise and fitted through the hip and thigh. It is very figure flattering and stays true to its size after hours of wear. I loved the wash and how it hugged my curves. Skinny jeans fit my personal style and complement most of my tees and even blouses! I wore this pair the most during this trial because of how well they fit me and how many looks I could create from them.

The second pair of jeans I was sent were the Straight. It is mid-rise and fitted through the hip and thigh as well.  I didn’t find the fit the most flattering in the leg but it did fit well in the hips and thighs. It was not as straight as I’m used to because it kind of gapped near the cuff at the bottom, so I folded it a couple of times to give it some shape. The wash was okay as well. I typically prefer darker jean rinses.

My final pair of jeans were the Boyfriend jeans and while I’m not opposed to the style of boyfriend jeans and actually own a few pairs, I did not love the red plaid fabric sewn into the rips of the jeans. I think that design would be best for a younger age demographic. I tried to style it as best as I could but I just didn’t find it flattering to my shape in any aspect.

I enjoy challenges like these because it pushes me to try new styles of clothing, and step out of
the box of my usual styles. I encourage you all to step out of your comfort zones as well and try out Target denim for yourselves. I’m confident you will find a cut that you love! Starting July 26th, you can try on Target denim in the store starting July 26 and receive $10 off!
